Con la terminación de los canales serian irrigadas unas 30,000 tareas de tierra con vocación agrícola en toda la zona.

La dirección regional del Distrito de Riego Yaque del Sur perteneciente al Instituto Nacional de Recursos Hidráulicos (Indrhi) con asiento en Barahona. Informo sobre Puesta en operación, de forma provisional canal Vicente Noble Canoa y Uvilla.
La información fue dada a conocer por la ingeniera Damaris Gómez, quien dijo que dicho canal estará funcionando de manera provisional hasta que culmine la construcción de las nuevas estructuras de canalización del arroyo Buringa en Vicente Noble.
Unas 24,000 tareas de tierra con vocación agrícola serán irrigadas con la extensión y construcción del canal según explico Gómez, quien manifestó que se cumple a cabalidad el mandato del presidente Medina, quien al recorrer la zona afectadas por las pasadas lluvias en Barahona, dispuso el acondicionamiento de las vías del regio para los agricultores de la zona.
De igual forma se trabaja en los canales El Montazo Fondo Negro, beneficiará, 1,500 tareas, Canal Fondo Negro bomba 2,500 y Canal Fondo Negro el cual sería Gravedad irrigando unas 2000 tareas.
