Mérido Torres destaca logros de los primeros 18 meses de gestión del presidente Luis Abinader
Santo Domingo, R.D.-Tras hacer una evaluación de los primeros 18 meses de gobierno del presidente Luis Abinader, el director de la Unidad Técnica Ejecutora de Titulación de Terrenos del Estado (UTECT), Mérido Torres, citó como grandes logros del Gobierno, la vacunación, la recuperación económica, la inversión en educación y la salud.
“Tenemos un presidente que no escatimó esfuerzos para buscar la vacuna donde quiera que hubiese, por eso hoy suspende todas las medidas que habían puesto desde el gobierno anterior, por algo hoy podemos hablar sin mascarilla porque una gran cantidad de dominicanos tiene las tres dosis”.
A su vez, definió la gestión gubernamental del presidente Luis Abinader, como positiva para el país, tras señalar que el mandatario ha sido cercano a las personas a las que escucha y dispone de ayuda inmediata a sus necesidades.
El director de la UTECT, dijo que la República Dominicana necesita más de la gestión de gobierno del presidente Abinader, que ha estado sustentada en la transparencia y la rigurosidad en el manejo de los fondos públicos.
“Luis tiene amigos pero no cómplices, este el único gobierno donde los funcionarios tienen miedo a equivocarse… todos los recursos que se perdían en la corrupción, el presidente los está invirtiendo en los dominicanos en la labor que está desarrollando en todas las áreas”.
Agregó: “Aquí no ha pasado un presidente más cercano al pueblo que Luis Abinader. Los demás han sido figuras que dan distancia y a Luis tú lo sientes al lado de la gente, tú sientes que se preocupa por la gente y la comunicación de él con el pueblo es diaria, es un presidente tecnológico”.
Entrevistado por la periodista Lorenny Solano en el programa “Dominicana Buenas Noches”, por RNN, Torres afirmó que cuando Abinader llegó al poder encontró un país devastado por la crisis económica generada por la pandemia del coronavirus y la corrupción del Partido de la Liberación Dominicana.
“Recibimos un gobierno con una economía en el piso por dos situaciones: la pandemia y el huracán PLD, ahí están todos los expedientes”.
Por otro lado, consideró que el alza registrada en las últimas semanas en algunos de los productos de la canasta básica y los combustibles, es motivado por factores internacionales, como el aumento del petróleo.
“Sube todo lo que tiene que ver con el petróleo, no está más caro porque le está costando 700 millones semanales al gobierno el subsidio para que no le llegue más caro a los pobres de este país, estamos haciendo las inversiones en el campo para tener los productos de primera necesidad que nosotros producimos. Ustedes se imaginan en un gobierno corrupto que hubiese subido como está el barril de petróleo. La corrupción no tiene espacio en este gobierno”.
Al ser cuestionado sobre una posible reelección de Abinader, afirmó que no tiene dudas de que el jefe de Estado ganaría los comicios del 2024 en primera vuelta con más de un 60 por ciento, en caso de ser repostulado.
En ese mismo tenor, aseguró que si los partidos opositores de la Liberación Dominicana y la Fuerza del Pueblo, se unen para llevar un candidato en común a las próximas elecciones no llegarían a un 40 por ciento de los votos.
Titulación
Mérido Torres, aseguró que a un año y seis meses del gobierno del presidente Luis Abinader ha entregado un 50% de certificados de títulos más que en la pasada gestión.
En ese sentido indicó, que en ocho años de creación de la Comisión de Titulación sólo entregaron 41,185 certificado de títulos y que la presente gestión ya ha entregado 25,172 títulos definitivos de propiedad.
Explicó, que la meta para este año 2022 es entregar 130 mil certificados de títulos a los habitantes de viviendas, parcelas, terrenos o apartamentos en varias zonas del país.
Aseguró, que la Unidad Técnica de Titulación de Terrenos del Estado proyecta la entrega 400 mil títulos durante los cuatro años del gobierno de Luis Abinader.
