Inespre vende más de 6 mil quintales de cebolla a 10 pesos la libra

Santo Domingo.-El Instituto de Estabilización de Precios (Inespre) en coordinación con el Ministerio de Agricultura vendió 6 mil quintales de cebolla a 10 pesos la libra en los primeros 18 días del mes de febrero.

La cebolla es comercializada al por mayor y al detalle en los locales de Santiago, Azua, San Juan, San Pedro de Macorís y en la avenida Venezuela de Santo Domingo Este.  

Mientras que las ventas al por mayor se están realizando en los locales del Seibo, San Pedro de Macorís, Barahona, Baní, La Vega y San Francisco de Macorís en sacos de 50 libras a 500 pesos y de 100 libras o quintal a tan solo 1,000 pesos.

Iván Hernández Guzmán, director del Inespre, informó que estas ventas fueron posible gracias al acuerdo realizado entre el Ministerio de Agricultura y los productores de cebolla en el que se comprometieron a colaborar con la compra y comercialización del producto, de forma que sea rentable para el productor y el consumidor.

Hernández Guzmán indicó que actualmente la institución cuenta con 6 mil quintales del bulbo disponibles para la población.

Ventas en Santiago

En Santiago están disponibles 2 mil quintales de cebolla que son vendidas al por mayor y al detalle en el local del Inespre, según informó Franco Nuñez, subdirector y gerente regional en esa provincia.

Núñez destacó que el punto de venta está abierto de 8:30 am a 5:00 de la tarde en la calle Imbert número 17 y exhortó a la población de Santiago acercarse al local para que puedan adquirir cebollas baratas.
