Villa Central, Barahona.- La Universidad Católica Tecnológica de Barahona (UCATEBA) tuvo como invitado especial, al Investigador, Catedrático y Conferencista Internacional, Rev. P. D.r. Lucas Lucas, quien dictó la exitosa conferencia titulada: “Ideología de Genero; realidad, social, política, económica y religiosa”, en el salón multiuso Luis Díaz Díaz, de la referida Universidad.

La bienvenida y bendición del evento, fue realizada por S.E.R. Mons. Andrés Napoleón Romero Cárdenas, Obispo de la Diócesis de Barahona y Gran Canciller de la UCATEBA, quien estuvo acompañado por el Obispo de la Diócesis de San Pedro de Macorís, S.E.R. Mons. Santiago Rodríguez Rodríguez.

En este mismo orden, la presentación del conferencista invitado, estuvo a cargo del Rev. P. Dr. Secilio Espinal Espinal, Rector de la UCATEBA, quien previo a la introducción, indicó que la Universidad, además de producir conocimientos, está llamada a generar inquietudes para transmitir la verdad de las diferentes realidades que van surgiendo en el entorno social, fruto de las diferentes tendencias sociales, políticas y educativas.

Durante la Conferencia

El conferencista invitado, Rev. P. Dr. Lucas Lucas, en su abordaje con relación a la ideología de género, indicó que la educación se basa en la comprensión de valores, por lo que el reto que tiene la Iglesia Católica, no es defender su fe, sino, defender la identidad humana que está fundamentalmente indicada en génesis: “varón y mujer los creó”, y asegura que sin esa identidad humana no hay nada que hacer.

En este sentido, aseguró que la ideología de género lo que procura es una sustitución de la identidad sexual por la de género, que pretende afirmar que la diferencia entre hombres y mujeres, ante las obvias diferencias anatómicas, no corresponden a una naturaleza fija, que hagan a unos seres masculinos y a otros femeninos, sino que depende fundamentalmente de la elección o rol de las personas, lo que consideró una falacia.

“El uso de los términos es importante, por lo que ser madre no es un rol, sino una vocación y una identidad, así como ser marido y ser mujer”, expresó Lucas Lucas.

También, sostuvo que los Católicos están llamados a ser minorías creativas, aquella masa crítica, que sabe discernir, que defiende la libertad de las personas y procuran que las mismas piensen.

Con relación al matrimonio, consideró que el mismo requiere de la diversidad sexual y que éste tiene dos fines: la unión mutua y la procreación, siendo la última, una función protegida y garantizada por el estado, mientras que la unión homosexual tiene otros fines, que es la unión afectiva recíproca.

Finalmente, exhortó a los presentes a votar en los próximos comicios electorales por quienes defiendan sus valores y su identidad humana.
