Las Salinas, Barahona. -Moradores del Municipio de Cristóbal, provincia Independencia, están demandando del presidente de la República Danilo Medina Sánchez el desembolso de los fondos que hace falta para la terminación del acueducto que desde hace varios años se le está construyendo a la comunidad, y que en estos momentos está paralizado, mientras la población sigue padeciendo por la falta de agua potable.
Los residentes de Cristóbal, expresaron que ellos reciben un chin de agua potable de vez en cuando del acueducto de el municipio de Las Salinas donde también el agua potable es escasa debido a que las electrobombas que abastecen dicho acueducto están dañadas y que para dirigirse a la comunidad de la Lista de Cabral pagando motoconchos y que ya han ocurrido muertes y personas accidentadas en la carretera internacional Barahona – Jimani.
Manifestaron que el gobierno debe desembolsar el dinero que hace falta para el acueducto de la Comunidad porque ya resulta una situación vergonzosa para ellos.
