Barahona.- El lunes 11 de enero fue realizado en el salón de la sala capitular el cabildo abierto, donde se informó a los delegados de los diferentes sectores que participaron de las asambleas comunitarias para el presupuesto participativo, las obras que fueron aprobadas para el presente año en cada sector.
El proceso inició con las asambleas en los sectores de Los Guandules, Savica, Imbert, Palmarito, Canta la Rana, El Alfa, Pueblo Nuevo, Altos de Blanquizales, Santa Elena, Las Flores y Riochil del 07 al 16 de diciembre del año pasado. En dichas asambleas se recogieron las peticiones de obras,luego el departamento de obras públicas urbanas del ayuntamiento realizó un estudio de prefactibilidadpara determinar cuales se podían construir.
´´Hemos realizado un proceso transparente, agotando todos los pasos que establece la ley 176-07 con relación al presupuesto participativo, asambleas comunitarias y cabildo abierto, este último realizado para dar a conocer a los delegados de los sectores las obras que se aprobaron para cada uno, según lo especifica el artículo 242 de dicha ley«, explicó el Lic. Mictor Fernández, alcalde del municipio Barahona.
El alcalde, quien estuvo acompañado del concejo de regidores, dijo que de los sectores consultados se aprobaron las obras de construcción del parque de La Raqueta, reconstrucción del parque de Imbert, reparación de la canchas de Sávica, Canta La Rana y Santa Elena, la construcción de aceras y contenes en Palmarito, Altos de Blanquizales y Las Flores. Todas éstas serán construidas con el 6% de los ingresos del ayuntamiento que asciende al monto deRD$5,793,435.46, y se eligieron los sectores mas vulnerables para trabajar.
El alumbrado fue la solicitud común de todos los sectores, pero por el alto costo que conlleva iluminarlos, se dejó fuera del presupuesto participativo para ser cubierto con los fondos generales del ayuntamiento, especificó el Alcalde.
