Postrer Rio, Independencia RD.- Continúan los trabajos que ejecuta el Instituto para el Desarrollo del Suroeste (INDESUR), la Unidad Técnica Ejecutora de los Proyectos de Desarrollo Agroforestal ( UTEPDA) y la Alcaldía del Municipio de Postrer Rio para comunicar a comunidades agrícolas en la Sierra de Neiba.
En esta ocasión, son rehabilitados y aperturados decenas de kilómetros de caminos interparcelarios que unirán el área agrícola de Los Bolos con los sectores de El Almendro, Agua Nueva, Las Palmas y Los Limones.
Este tramo carretero también permitirá unir en las montañas a los municipios de Postrer Río y La Descubierta a través de la comunidad de los Pinos del Edén.
En esta zona la UTEPDA apoya a los productores de café, aguacate y arboles maderables como forma de impulsar practicas agrícolas amigables con el medio ambiente.
Por su parte, el INDESUR y la Alcaldía de Postrer Río en la persona Juan de León Matos, realizan incansables esfuerzos para comunicar estas empobrecidas comunidades y asi evitar las pérdidas millonarias que tienen cada año en la producción agrícola.
Para los trabajos son utilizados maquinarias y e quipos propiedad de la UTEPDA y alquilados por el INDESUR, mientras que la Alcaldía de Postrer Río se encarga de cubrir toda la parte logística.
