SNS logra 154 hospitales reciban habilitación del MSP

Santo Domingo. – El Servicio Nacional de Salud (SNS), en cumplimiento de la Ley General de Salud, completó los requerimientos establecidos por la Dirección de Habilitación y Acreditación del Ministerio de Salud Pública (MSP) para lograr, este viernes, la entrega de certificados de habilitación a 154 hospitales de la Red Pública. 

El SNS, a través del Departamento de Habilitación Hospitalaria, dirigió los procesos de estos 154 centros para que, según su clasificación, cumplan con los requisitos de infraestructura, equipamiento, personal, organización y funcionamiento, de manera que garanticen la atención oportuna y de calidad que demandan los usuarios. 

Para el titular del SNS, doctor Mario Lama, se trata de un gran avance para el sector porque además de garantizar condiciones adecuadas en los centros, para la prestación de los servicios, también podrán optar por la contratación de las distintas Administradoras de Riesgos de Salud (ARS), lo que les permitirá captar mayores recursos, al aumentar la facturación y, por tanto, disponer de mayor capacidad resolutiva. 

Estos centros de segundo y tercer nivel de atención fueron habilitados por períodos de uno y dos años, con el compromiso de seguir velando por garantizar y proteger el derecho de los pacientes a recibir servicios de salud eficaz en la Red Pública de Salud. 

El director Regional Metropolitano, doctor Edisson Féliz, en representación de los Servicios Regionales de Salud y del doctor Lama, tuvo a su cargo las palabras de apertura del evento, en las que destacó la importancia de esta acreditación para los hospitales, ya que les permitirá realizar más convenios con las ARS y obtener una mejor remuneración. Afirmó es un compromiso de cada uno de los centros hacer un buen uso de esta certificación.  

También intervino el doctor Juan Gerardo Mesa, director de Habilitación y Acreditación del MSP, quien resaltó que desde el Ministerio de Salud Pública están comprometidos con dar fiel cumplimiento a la ley 42-01 de Salud, específicamente al reglamento 11-38-03 que establece el reglamento para la habilitación de los centros de salud. Invitó a los directores de los centros habilitados a conformar un equipo de garantía que vele por la calidad de los servicios 

El acto, de igual modo, contó con las palabras centrales del viceministro de Salud Colectiva, doctor Eladio Pérez, quien resaltó que ahora los hospitales podrán asegurar una facturación oportuna, mejorar la calidad de las atenciones y una mayor sostenibilidad.  

Los doctores, junto a la doctora Lucidania Valenzuela, encargada de habilitación del SNS, entregaron los certificados a los directores de los hospitales habilitados.
