Estos seminarios incluyeron unas 29 charlas con más de 60 horas de capacitación sobre: Finanzas Personales, Código de Conducta, Formación en Valores, entre otros.
Villa Central, Barahona. La Fundación Central Barahona (FCB), ente de Responsabilidad Social del Consorcio Azucarero Central (CAC), y la oficina de Major League Baseball (MLB) en República Dominicana, concluyeron de manera exitosa los seminarios virtuales de capacitación profesional para entrenadores y exjugadores de béisbol y softbol, bajo la iniciativa social “Reviviendo el Béisbol en ciudades del Interior” (RBI).
Al cierre de estos seminarios virtuales se realizó un acto de graduación encabezado por Lourdes Peguero Alfonseca, directora ejecutiva de la FCB; José Antonio García, gerente Administrativo del CAC; Henry González, gerente senior de Desarrollo Internacional de Talentos; Benjamín Mateo, coordinador; Francisco Cedano, EAP Latin América de la MLB y Manuel Emilio Ferreras, director regional del Ministerio de Deportes en el país.
En el evento participaron 17 entrenadores de diferentes ligas de la región de Enriquillo, así como 11 exjugadores líderes que han formado parte de los diferentes torneos de RBI y se destacaron por su pasión, compromiso y dedicación.
“Agradecemos a Major League Baseball (MLB) a través de su iniciativa RBI, por poner su mirada en la provincia de Barahona y sus comunidades desde el 2015 y con ello acompañarnos a fomentar el sueño de niños, niñas, adolescentes y jóvenes que buscan transformar su calidad de vida a través del deporte” puntualizó Peguero.
Por su parte, Henry González agradeció a todos los participantes por su tiempo y dedicación diciendo que: “estamos muy contentos con el esfuerzo conjunto a la Fundación Central Barahona. Estos seminarios virtuales nos han permitido mantenernos conectados en medio de la pandemia y continuar motivando a los niños, niñas, adolescentes y jóvenes pertenecientes a RBI en la región Enriquillo.”
Con estas capacitaciones tanto la FCB como la MLB procuran revitalizar las disciplinas del béisbol y el sóftbol en comunidades vulnerables a través de la promoción del alto desempeño académico y el desarrollo de habilidades personales e interpersonales en los jóvenes de República Dominicana.
