Alcalde del municipio Barahona da picazo para la construcción del puente de la calle Tamayo sobre el río Birán en el sector Baitoita
Barahona.- El lic. Mictor Fernández, alcalde del municipio Barahona, dio el primer picazo para la construcción del puente sobre el río Birán en la calle Tamayo del sector Baitoita, atendiendo a un clamor que por años había elevado el sector.
La obra que viene a viabilizar el tránsito creciente entre Baitoita y la parte alta del sector Enriquillo beneficiará a más de siete mil habitantes, e interconectará estos sectores incluyendo Casandra, dando acceso desde la calle 30 de mayo en conexión directa con calle Tamayo. El puente está diseñado con una doble vía para los vehículos de motor y un peatón para las personas.
El monto aproximado a invertir es de unos 3.9 millones de pesos, fondos que han sido producto de la administración efectiva y oportuna de la nueva gestión que encabeza el alcalde Fernández.
«Estos fondos los ahorramos del pago de la regalía del personal del ayuntamiento, ya que el presidente donó el dinero del sueldo 13 o regalía pascual, lo que teníamos para esos fines lo vamos invertir en la construcción de este puente``, explicó el lic. Fernández. El picazo se realizó el lunes 15 de febrero, ante la presencia del concejo de regidores, representado por Belkis Sánchez y Frank Figueroa, la licda. Dione Mariel González, gobernadora, Ing. Elson Peña, director regional de MOPC, ,Dr. César Díaz, ministerio de salud pública, Yeuris Reyes y Ángeles Cuello del ministerio de la juventud, representantes del CODIA, virtudes Cuello de la junta de vecinos del sector, así como el pastor Juan Montero quien tuvo a su cargo la oración de bendición.
