Santo Domingo. – Como parte de la celebración del 30 aniversario de sus servicios ininterrumpidos, ejecutivos de la aerolínea dominicana Air Century, encabezados por Carlos Jiménez, director administrativo y Felipe Gutiérrez, director comercial, visitaron las ciudades de Cartagena y Barranquilla para reunirse con autoridades y agentes de viaje de esa nación suramericana, a propósito del inicio de los vuelos a partir del 4 de agosto.

“Estamos muy entusiasmados con el nuevo servicio directo entre Santo Domingo y las ciudades de Cartagena y Barranquilla, en Colombia, país que se ha convertido en uno de los destinos preferidos de los dominicanos gracias a su exuberante naturaleza, impresionante cultura, variada oferta gastronómica y sobre todo por la calidez de su gente” expreso Felipe Gutiérrez, director comercial de Air Century. “Con estos nuevos vuelos se amplían las oportunidades para fortalecer los lazos comerciales y turísticos entre Republica Dominicana y Colombia, que pronto quedarán conectadas de forma rápida y eficiente desde nuestro Hub del Caribe, ubicado en el convenientemente ubicado Aeropuerto Internacional La Isabela, a solo minutos del centro de Santo Domingo”.

Además del alcalde Barranquilla, los ejecutivos de Air Century sostuvieron encuentros con la administración del aeropuerto de esa ciudad y de Cartagena, con oficiales de migración de Colombia, con las oficinas de turismo de ambas ciudades, con Procolombia, mayoristas y agencias de viaje.

Con una frecuencia inicial de dos vuelos semanales a Cartagena y Barranquilla, Air Century amplía su red de rutas reafirmando su liderazgo en el Caribe y Suramérica.

Esta ciudad, donde el río Magdalena termina su largo recorrido, es cuna de grandes músicos, literatos y pintores. Además, es escenario de una de las fiestas más importante del país: el Carnaval de Barranquilla.
