El presidente Luis Abinader encabezó la comitiva nacional junto al ministro de Turismo, David Collado y al final, del encuentro se anunciaron importantes inversiones y acuerdos.
Santo Domingo.-La Asociación Dominicana de Prensa Turística (Adompretur) valoró como positiva la participación de República Dominicana como país socio de la Feria Internacional de Turismo de España (FITUR 2022) finalizada en Madrid, el domingo 23 de enero.
Yenny Polanco Lovera, presidente de Adompretur afirmó que la celebración de FITUR organizada por IFEMA Madrid, con el apoyo de la Organización Mundial de Turismo (OMT), se convirtió en el mejor escenario para mostrar al mundo los grandes atractivos que tiene el país para sus visitantes.
Valoró que este gran evento contó con la presencia del ministro de Turismo David Collado acompañado por Luis Abinader, primer gobernante dominicano que asiste a tan importante feria.
“La dedición de ser país socio y participar como se hizo por todo lo algo, fue positiva dado que el turismo juega un rol muy importante en las economías de los países y la recuperación de la salud de las personas”, afirmó la presidente de Adompretur.
Acuerdos firmados
Indicó que con su exitosa participación en la edición 42 de la feria más grande de Europa, República Dominicana seguirá expandiendo el desarrolla de este importante sector porque se firmaron acuerdos con empresas e inversionistas por más de 2.000 millones de dólares.
El Ministerio de Turismo renovó un acuerdo para promocionar el país y mejorar la conectividad con los más de 90 destinos a los que Iberia vuela en España y Europa e igualmente con Air Europa para incremento en número de vuelos.
El acuerdo fue firmado por el ministro de Turismo, David Collado y María Jesús López Solás, directora Comercial de Red y de Alianzas de Iberia. Este contempla 13 frecuencias semanales, la promoción del país a través de los canales de comunicación de la aerolínea como el sistema de entretenimiento a bordo, la revista Ronda Iberia, sus perfiles en redes sociales y su página electrónica www.iberia.com, entre otros.
También se firmó acuerdo con Viajes El Corte Inglés que asegurará la visita a RD de más 200.000 turistas, suscrito por el ministro de Turismo, David Collado, y el presidente de Viajes El Corte Inglés, Jorge Shornenberguer con la presencia del presidente Luis Abinader.
Otros acuerdos fueron suscritos con la agencia de viajes, Rainbow Tours para incentivar el turismo desde Polonia, garantizando tres viajes semanales hacia Puerto Plata desde los aeropuertos de Varsovia, Poznań y Katowice; y con Eurowings Discover para incentivar el turismo procedente de Alemania a través de vuelos con destino a Puerto Plata.
Inversión de entidades financieras
A través de este comunicado, Adompretur destaca las acciones realizadas por el Banco Popular que, al cierre del año 2021, entregó el 45% de todos los préstamos que otorga la banca nacional al sector, representando esto una cartera de más de RD$59,000 millones.
El Banco de Reservas hará financiamientos ascendentes a más de US$250 millones, para proyectos que determinarán inversiones superiores a los US$ 500 millones en Puerto Plata, Cabarete, Santiago, Jarabacoa, Montecristi, Nagua, Samaná, Miches, Punta Cana y Santo Domingo.
Polanco Lovera dijo que la entidad financiera estatal anunció que IFEMA fue contratada como consultora para levantar un centro de convenciones y exposiciones en Santo Domingo, y recordó que, además, el Banco de Reservas inauguró un mural en la estación Santo Domingo del Metro de Madrid, el cual resalta los elementos de la dominicanidad.
Refiere que en esta jornada tuvo presencia importantes cadenas hoteleras como Cap Cana, Grupo Lifestyle, Grupo Puntacana, Holidays, Catalonia Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn, Casa de Campo; así como las empresas Aerodom, el Consorcio Energético Punta Cana-Macao S.A (CEPM), Aeropuerto Internacional Punta Cana, Pro Dominicana, Asociación de Hoteles de Santo Domingo y el Clúster Turístico del Destino Puerto Plata.
Más de 7 mil empresas participaron en este centro de eventos más grande e importante en el centro de convenciones @ifema_madrid.
Importancia cobertura de prensa
Asimismo, Adompretur resalta la trascendencia de respaldar los logros dominicanos en FITUR 2022 mediante una amplia cobertura de prensa, cuya convocatoria por parte de los bancos de Reservas y Popular, así como proyectos turísticos (Punta Cana y Cap Cana, entre otros), siendo esta una inversión que apoya la nueva dimensión de la industria turística y destinos dominicanos.
Recuerda que las ferias de turismo son un mercado comercial de venta de hotelería e inversiones en los países, por lo cual todo recurso para destacar en la competencia por países que implica una inversión que se devuelve con creces a los países, empresas y estados que refuerzan su oferta con el uso de los medios de comunicación y las redes sociales.
La institución que agrupa a los periodistas de turismo destaca que FITUR es un mercado básico para los intereses de Republica Dominicana como destino y la proyección que alcanzo por parte de medios internacionales, como las veces que fue presentada por las principales agencias de prensa y las cadenas de televisión globales, fue replicada por la cobertura local.
“La cobertura de prensa esta vez fue mucho más intensa y presionada debido a la presencia del presidente Luis Abinader, primer mandatario dominicano que hizo acto de presencia en FITUR, lo cual impuso un ritmo agotador y cargado de horas de trabajo”, significó la presidente de Adompretur.
Reconocimientos
Polanco Lovera también mencionó el reconocimiento que recibió el presidente Luis Abinader, de manos del secretario general de la Organización Mundial del Turismo, Zurab Pololikashvili por ser el que mejor gestionó la pandemia de la región con la tasa de vacunación de Centroamérica-Caribe más alta, garantizando un turismo seguro y la más exitosa recuperación de la industria en toda la región, alcanzando cifras récord en la llegada de turistas.
Aseguró que República Dominicana presentó junto con la Organización Mundial del Turismo (OMT) los nuevos destinos turísticos del país con proyectos hoteleros en desarrollo y para los que busca inversión hotelera extranjera, entre ellos Costa del Ámbar, Miches y el relanzamiento de la Ciudad Colonial de Santo Domingo.
“En esta edición de FITUR 2022, participaron más de 107 países, 70 de ellos con representación oficial internacional, liderados por República Dominicana, como país socio, además de más nueve mil periodistas de todo el mundo, lo cual puso el turismo nacional en la prensa mundial”.
“A partir de ahora, nuestra industria turística iniciará una etapa de crecimiento sin precedentes, y desde Adompretur la seguiremos apoyando con la promoción de nuestros destinos y la capacitación de nuestra membresía”, puntualizó Yenny Polanco Lovera.
