Polo, Barahona– El FestiCafé 2018 volvió a su origen y brindo tributo a la materia prima el “El Café Orgánico”.
Durante la celebración se realizaron decenas de conferencias, talleres, simulacros del proceso, actividades culturales y otros atractivos, fueron los protagonistas del evento, la parte artística nocturna que por cierto fue de calidad internacional con artistas como: Danny Rivera, Revolución Salsera, Luis Miguel del Amargue, Vakero, etc. quedo en segundo plano.
El festival demostró ser un evento familiar, donde se debe ir a disfrutar de todo el proceso llevado a cabo para procesar el café, del clima, la amabilidad de los munícipes entre otras cosas, y sobre todo del CAFÉ.
El equipo coordinador estableció como meta para el año 2019 abarcar todos los productores de café del país y pasar de lo regional a lo nacional y con miras a plazas internacionales.
Se recuerda que en años anteriores los visitantes exigían más actividades en torno al café, asunto que motivo a los coordinadores y colaborador volver al origen del evento.
En esta versión un setenta por ciento de las actividades giraron en torno a la siembra, cosecha y comercialización del café, miles de visitantes degustaron de las diferentes marcas locales y nacionales.
La UASD Barahona, Liceo Ramón Oviedo, INDOCAFE, Proyecto Agro-forestal, Pro consumidor, PROINCA, DO Denominación de Origen, fueron algunas de las instituciones responsables de las conferencias al junto de muchas más.
El equipo coordinador terminó agradeciendo a los patrocinadores del evento y cada uno de los que allí se dieron cita.
