LA VEGA, República Dominicana.- Expo Vega Real 2022 -uno de los eventos comerciales más emblemáticos del Cibao- dio inicio formal este jueves primero de septiembre a su vigésimo sexta edición, por primera vez totalmente presencial luego de la crisis sanitaria del COVID-19 que inició en 2020.
La actividad, auspiciada por la Cámara de Comercio y Producción de La Vega, institución con 114 años de historia, selló su apertura con una conferencia magistral del Ministro de Turismo David Collado, en conexión con su lema de este año: “La Vega: Vive la Experiencia en la Capital de Ecoturismo.”
Collado anunció para el próximo año una inversión de RD$660 millones en infraestructura vial hacia las zonas de turismo de montaña, un plan de capacitación de RD$40 millones para formar a personas en diferentes disciplinas técnicas de carácter turísticas y un plan de promoción internacional del Carnaval de La Vega, que será declarado marca-país.
Durante cuatro días Expo Vega Real 2022 será todo un despliegue de actividades comerciales, ofertas en el recinto ferial del Country Club La Vega y a través de la plataforma www.expovega.com que garantiza presencia nacional e internacional al evento celebrado anualmente desde hace 26 años.
Actividades de entretenimiento para toda la familia, charlas de alto impacto y presentaciones artísticas complementan la oferta de la fiesta comercial de los veganos.
En el discurso principal de apertura, la presidenta de la Cámara de Comercio y Producción de La Vega Irlonca Tavárez, destacó la expectativa positiva que prevalece en La Vega de un dinamismo económico impulsando el ecoturismo, para lo cual se requiere construcción de infraestructura de comunicación y un plan ordenador para alinear el desarrollo inmobiliario.
“Es oportuno resaltar que, como veganos, nos crea mucho optimismo la plataforma “Turismo en cada rincón”, lanzada recientemente por el presidente Luis Abinader y el ministro Collado como apoyo y promoción al turismo local con un enfoque de sostenibilidad e inclusión”, argumentó la dirigente empresarial.
La Vega -resaltó Tavárez- es uno de los poblados más antiguos del Nuevo Mundo fundado en 1494, es una cantera de valores históricos, culturales y religiosos, en un entorno de riquezas naturales, que a lo largo del tiempo ha anidado un amplio desarrollo productivo.
“En distintos lugares del mundo el turismo de fe es una fuente de ingresos y de creación de iniciativas emprendedoras. Nuestro Sendero de La Fe, que comenzó a gestarse desde el año 2013, es un circuito religioso, cultural, ecológico, gastronómico, artesanal y agroindustrial con vocación para atraer turismo nacional e internacional”, subrayó.
Paola Estévez, presidenta del evento ferial, sostuvo que Expo Vega Real 2022 cuenta con una logística de seguridad gestionada por los principales organismo de seguridad de la zona, como la Policía Nacional, la Policía Municipal, Cruz Roja, Defensa Civil, Cuerpos de Bombero y las empresas privadas que garantizan un ambiente seguro dentro y en el entorno del recinto.
