Barahona. El Consorcio Azucarero Central (CAC), inició la entrega de más de 40 millones de pesos a 502 parceleros de asentamientos AC-528 y AC-468 los cuales tienen acuerdos en participación con la empresa azucarera para el cultivo de caña.
El acto de entrega fue realizado en el polideportivo de Tamayo, encabezado por el superintendente de Comunicaciones del CAC, Julio Fernández y con la presencia de la gobernadora de Bahoruco, Juana Mateo; el gerente regional del IAD, Miguel Ángel Cruz Reyes y el alcalde de Tamayo, Luis Milciades Montes de Oca.
Fernández, al pronunciar las palabras centrales de la actividad, dijo que: “Los pagos corresponden a RD$10,839,726.96 para 366 parceleros que forman parte del Asentamiento AC-528, correspondiente al período 2021-2022”.
Asimismo, indicó que se estarán pagando más de 33 millones de pesos por la renovación del acuerdo público-privado del asentamiento AC-468 en Angostura, mejor conocido como CADOCA, para el período 2022-2027, “que por 15 años se caracterizó por la armonía y cumplimiento a cabalidad de lo pautado entre la empresa y sus 136 parceleros, con cuantiosos beneficios en ese tiempo”
Como resultado de esa experiencia, anunció la extensión de esta alianza por otros 20 años
De su lado, el director regional del Instituto Agrario Dominicano, Miguel Ángel Cruz Reyes, instó a los parceleros a hacer buen uso de estos fondos de forma tal que sean provechosos para ellos y sus familias.
En iguales términos se pronunció la gobernadora de Bahoruco, Juana Cristina Mateo, exhortando a los presentes a mantener un manejo adecuado del dinero a recibir.
Por parte de los parceleros habló Santo Gabino Batista, quien manifestó su alegría por el pago, al tiempo que expresó sentirse satisfecho con el CAC por siempre dar fiel cumplimiento a los acuerdos de manera puntual y responsable.
Así, el Consorcio Azucarero Central reafirmó su deseo de continuar con este tipo de alianzas que permitan al país transitar la senda del desarrollo, sembrando y cosechando caña de azúcar y llevando a cada uno de los agricultores a crear su propio crecimiento.
Esto así, pues ambos proyectos han traído importantes riquezas a toda la zona agrícola, haciendo que se dinamice la economía en las comunidades, y a la vez, trayendo al país importantes beneficios con la cuota azucarera ante los mercados locales e internacionales.
