SNS inaugura remozado Centro Sanitario de Santo Domingo (La Galván)

Santo Domingo. El Servicio Nacional de Salud (SNS), inauguró hoy el remozado Centro Sanitario de Santo Domingo (La Galván), que beneficia a más un millón de habitantes del Distrito Nacional y municipios cercanos, en un acto que contó con la presencia del coordinador del Gabinete de Salud y ministro de Salud Pública, Daniel Rivera.

En su intervención, el director del SNS, doctor Mario Lama, indicó que el centro, ubicado en el corazón de la ciudad, ha brindado atenciones médicas por 65 años y con esta remodelación e inversión en modernos equipos, se busca que continue ofreciendo por muchos años más, servicios de salud dignos y de calidad como la población merece.

Asimismo, el director del SNS detalló los trabajos de remozamiento ejecutados por la Dirección de Infraestructura y Equipamiento del SNS, que incluye la renovación del edificio de consultas ginecológicas y pediátricas, sala de Espera, de Vacuna y área Administrativa.

Además, se construyó la plataforma de entrada del centro, se reparó la alimentación sanitaria, agua potable, iluminación, climatización, pintura interior y exterior, al igual que la regulación del sistema eléctrico y edificación de la caseta de planta y cafetería.

Mientras, el coordinador del Gabinete de Salud y ministro de Salud Pública, doctor Daniel Rivera, resaltó que con la inversión realizada en el Centro Sanitario, se asistirá el 80% de los pacientes que van o irían a hospitales, con los servicios preventivos que ofrece, lo que asegura una intervención adecuada para detectar a tiempo cualquier enfermedad, apuntó.  

Rivera valoró la gestión del SNS, que encabeza el doctor Mario Lama, mejorando la salud de la población, con intervenciones en remozamientos y equipamientos en hospitales de todo el país.

Equipamiento del Centro Sanitario

Las renovadas instalaciones fueron equipadas con un electrocardiógrafo de tres canales de adulto y pediátrico, una mesa con infantómetro, diez mesas especiales de reconocimiento ginecológicas, un eco cardiógrafo, 13 negatoscopios metálicos de un campo, cinco sillones odontológicos, entre otros equipos médicos y de oficina.

Los trabajos se realizaron con una inversión de RD$40,843,409.73 en remozamiento de la infraestructura y dotación de equipos, con el objetivo de aumentar la capacidad de respuesta del centro.

Avances hospitales Región Metropolitana

El SNS, en lo que va del 2022, puso en funcionamiento las nuevas instalaciones del Hospital Padre Billini y el edificio de Consultas Externas de la Ciudad Sanitaria Luis Eduardo Aybar, que incluyó también imágenes médicas y servicios odontológicos.

Igualmente, ha dejado en funcionamiento los tomógrafos en los hospitales Marcelino Vélez Santana, Rodolfo de la Cruz y Ney Arias Lora, para garantizar servicios de mayor calidad a los usuarios que visitan estos centros.

De igual manera, habilitó las áreas de Cuidados Respiratorio y Farmacia de Alto Costo en el Salvador B. Gautier, además de la reinauguración del Departamento de Cirugía Plástica y Reconstructiva.

En el Vinicio Calventi, inauguró las unidades de Atención Integral de Adolescentes y la Materno Infantil, esta última con tres quirófanos, salas de Expulsivo, Preparto y Posparto con cuatro camas, Unidad de Perinatología con diez cunas, dos salas de Aislamiento y Unidad Neonatal de Cuidados Intensivos.

A través de la Dirección de Laboratorios e Imágenes, el SNS puso en marcha un nuevo Laboratorio en el hospital Félix María Goico, además, entregó los certificados de garantía de reparación de los techos y otras obras del Darío Contreras, Ney Arias Lora y Hugo Mendoza.

En cuanto a equipamiento de centros de salud, la Regional Metropolitana en el 2022 ha recibido más de 76 millones de pesos en equipos, en hospitales localizados en el Distrito Nacional, Santo Domingo y Monte Plata.
