Los adultos Mayores reciben vacuna preventiva contra enfermedades pulmonares.
El Servicio Regional de Salud (SRSEN) inicia la jornada de vacunación a unos 3,871 Adulto Mayores en toda la región para garantizar la cobertura de vacuna contra el Neumococo y la Influenza en la población envejecientes mayores de 65 años.
La jornada se realiza simultáneamente en todos los CPN y las unidades del
Primer Nivel de Atención y los puestos de vacuna de toda la red pública, de
igual forma se lleva la vacunación mediante visitas domiciliarias a los mayores
registrados en los círculos comunitarios, con el objetivo de reducir los casos
de enfermedades pulmonares.
El gerente de área licenciado Toidy Pérez en representación de la titular SRS Enriquillo, doctora Rosa Ariza, “destacó la importancia de mantener protegidos a la mayor cantidad de envejecientes posible, ya que es un segmento poblacional sensitivo por lo que se le debe dar toda la atención y cuidados de salud de forma oportuna y con rostro humano”.
La meta establecida en la Región, es vacunar todos los adultos mayores Casas de acogida, albergues de paso, puestos de vacunación de los hospitales y a pacientes encamados a través de las visitas domiciliarias como parte de la estrategia SNS en la Comunidad.
