JCE firma acuerdo de colaboración institucional con Ministerio Público y Ministerio de la Mujer
Santo Domingo. – La Junta Central Electoral (JCE), el Ministerio Público (MP) y el Ministerio de la Mujer (MMujer) firmaron un acuerdo de colaboración para la elaboración y ejecución de un plan estratégico, que contribuya a la prevención y erradicación de la violencia intrafamiliar y de género.
El convenio, firmado por el presidente de la JCE, Román Andrés Jáquez Liranzo; la procuradora general de la República, Miriam Germán Brito y la ministra de la Mujer, Mayra Jiménez, contempla, además, acciones en temas relacionados a los delitos sexuales, acoso laboral y otros, enfocado y dirigido a la empleomanía de la JCE.
Asimismo, persigue fortalecer la articulación para la calidad y mejora de los servicios de prevención y atención de la violencia que ofrece el Ministerio de la Mujer; gestionar y remitir al organismo electoral casos para el registro y cedulación de mujeres y niñas asistidas por esa dependencia, y aunar esfuerzos para propiciar acciones que contribuyan al empoderamiento y la participación de política de las mujeres.
De igual forma pretende asesorar, coordinar y promover el desarrollo y dar seguimiento a todas las actividades ejecutadas conforme el Plan de Trabajo.
Al referirse al acuerdo, Jáquez Liranzo expresó que la violencia conta la mujer manda señales en cada actuación de la convivencia social, laboral, intrafamiliar, política y comunitaria y es responsabilidad de todos prevenirla, identificarla y actual ante estas situaciones de nuestra.
“Hay un sistema patriarcal y machista que sostiene esas violencias, las justifica y la invisibiliza”, expresó. En ese sentido, dijo que es fundamental reflexionar sobre la transformación en torno a la características y roles asignados socialmente a hombres y mujeres que se instauran en el imaginario desde la niñez a través de los juguetes y el trato diferenciado a niñas y niños.
Expresó que es una tarea posible detener los hechos de violencia en todos los niveles, en especial aquella ejercida en contra de las mujeres. Consideró que para ello se
requiere hacer una mayor inversión en prevención y educación del seno familiar, y que, como organismo, tienen la responsabilidad ofrecer un diagnóstico que identifique la magnitud de los casos que se han producido y la vez dar respuesta a los mismos.
Señaló que, desde la Comisión de Políticas de Igualdad de Género, que coordina la miembro titular del Pleno, Patricia Lorenzo Paniagua, se ha estado trabajado en lo señalado por la importancia que reviste el tema para la JCE.
“Para la institución la violencia de género, la discriminación y el acoso laboral suponen un atentado a la dignidad de las personas, es por eso que, desde noviembre del año pasado, contamos con un protocolo de actuación en casos de violencia con miras a garantizar un espacio laboral seguro para toda nuestra empleomanía”, puntualizó.
En tanto la ministra de la Mujer, Mayra Jiménez, indicó que el Ministerio, desde su rol rector de la política pública de igualdad de género, tiene las competencias para coordinar la ejecución de políticas, planes y programas dirigidos a lograr la equidad de género y el pleno ejercicio de la ciudadanía por parte de las mujeres.
Añadió que el Ministerio Público y la Junta Central Electoral constituyen dos pilares fundamentales para el logro de la igualdad, la respuesta oportuna e integral a la violencia y el fortalecimiento democrático de nuestro país.
Al mismo tiempo que explicó que el derecho a la participación política es un derecho humano y es fundamental apuntar todos los esfuerzos necesarios para concretar una justa y equilibrada representación política de las mujeres.
Agradeció a la JCE que, a través de su Comisión de Políticas de Igualdad ha sido motor de esta iniciativa, a la Procuraduría General de la República por colocar como prioridad el tema, y al equipo del Ministerio de la Mujer que impulsa esas acciones.
En la actividad que se llevó a cabo en el auditorio de la JCE, asistieron, además, los miembros titulares del Pleno de la JCE, Rafael Armando Vallejo Santelises; Dolores Fernández Sánchez; Patricia Lorenzo Paniagua y Samir Rafael Chami Isa.
Asimismo, la viceministra de Coordinación Intersectorial del Ministerio de la Mujer, Melecia Almonte; la directora de Transversalidad para la Igualdad, Carmen Pérez y los miembros de la Comisión de Políticas de Igualdad de Género. A estos se sumaron directores y representantes de las instituciones firmantes
