Santo Domingo, DN. La 9na. Asamblea General Ordinaria de los candidatos del Triunfo, ratificó a Editrudis Beltrán como su candidato oficial a la rectoría de la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), para las elecciones del próximo 15 de junio de este año, durante un concurrido acto realizado el Auditorio Manuel del Cabral, ubicado en la Biblioteca Pedro Mir de la referida alta casa de estudios superiores.
Editrudis Beltrán en su discurso central, anunció que desde la rectoría impulsará importantes transformaciones a través de su programa de gobernanza académica ante la presencia de más mil personas, conformados docentes y servidores administrativos de la universidad estatal.
Puntualizó que nunca antes en la historia de dicha academia nunca se habían articulado tantas voluntades en torno a un proyecto de verdadero cambio institucional de la UASD.
“Hoy aquí está representada la más amplia coalición académica nunca antes vista. En la historia de esta academia nunca se habían articulado, como hoy, tantas voluntades y proyectos de cambio por la UASD y estamos a pocos días de comenzar una historia que creará cambios significativos en la vida de docentes, estudiantes y servidores administrativos de nuestra casa”, aseguró Beltrán movimiento.
En ese sentido, adelantó algunas de las principales medidas que marcarán su gestión al frente de los destinos de la Primada de América.
“Este proceso de mejora 360, no solo cambiará para bien la oferta formativa, como ya hemos dicho, también logrará el desmonte gradual de la carga docente, aplicará nuevas modalidades de enseñanza, redefinirá el uso de las plataformas digitales y hará la transición de las aulas análogas a espacios inteligentes y colaborativos”, expresó el catedrático.
Advirtió que desde hace mucho tiempo diferentes gestiones han pospuestos dichas transformaciones pero que esta ocasión, promoverá las reformas que la alta casa de estudios requiere, a los fines de impulsar la institucionalidad académica y fomentar el proceso de modernización que requiere la universidad más antigua del nuevo mundo.
“La UASD necesita una serie de reformas fundamentales, lo sabemos, diferentes gestiones académicas también lo sabían, pero seremos nosotros los que vamos a materializar los cambios profundos que por años se han postergado”, manifestó Beltrán, quien se perfila como el candidato a presidir la universidad del Estado.
En ese orden, criticó que la UASD ha sido desplazada de los principales temas de la agenda nacional.
“La UASD ha cedido, sin explicación, su lugar en el debate nacional. Hemos pasado de asumir un rol activo en la articulación de soluciones a los grandes problemas nacionales a el silencio indiferente”, afirmó el hombre de ciencia.
Agregó que es poco entendible que la academia cuenta con los investigadores más preparados del país, no obstante, la posición institucional de la entidad educativa ha sido poco visible.
“Esta Universidad es la Primada de América, la autónoma de Santo Domingo y tenemos el deber de devolverle su grandeza y lo vamos a hacer”, dijo el Vicerrector Administrativo.
Beltrán argumentó que, para restablecer el prestigio de la UASD, cuenta con un programa de gobernanza de diez ejes que representarán su gestión, los cuales fueron numerados en el siguiente orden:
Calidad y pertinencia 2. Docencia 3. Desarrollo institucional 4. Fomento de la investigación 5. Tecnologías de la información y la comunicación 6. Internacionalización 7. Gestión del financiamiento y los recursos internos 8. Desarrollo sostenible de los recintos, centros. Sub-centros 9. Vinculación y alianzas estratégicas 10. Calidad de vida de los servidores universitarios: docentes y administrativos.
“Nuestros programas académicos serán sometidos a un riguroso proceso de revisión y actualización; nuestros egresados contarán con las habilidades, destrezas y competencias que exige el mercado”, explicó en detalle.
Otras de las fortalezas contenidas en dicho programa, se encuentran la planificación institucional para evitar aulas saturadas y la poca disponibilidad de asignaturas para los estudiantes, lo cual, a su juicio, externa la falta de organización de la institución académica.
Además, plantea un uso racionalizado de los recursos administrativos y energéticos, mejorar la calidad de vida de los docentes, diseñar mejores alianzas de cooperación interinstitucional con otras organizaciones nacionales e internacionales, así como fortalecer la transparencia a través de la rendición de cuentas.
Durante el acto estuvieron presentes los maestros Rosalía Sosa, candidata a la Vicerrectora de Extensión, Ramón Desangles, aspirante a Vicerrector Administrativo, Wilson Mejía, quien busca convertirse en Vicerrector Docente, y Radhames Silverio, postulante a Vicerrector de Investigación y Postgrado, entre otras figuras importantes de su proyecto.
Finalmente, Editrudis Beltrán ostentó que dicho programa de gobierno universitario tiene como objetivo dar cumplimiento a la Estrategia Nacional de Desarrollo y que la UASD debe orientar sus esfuerzos en alinear sus procesos internos con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible.
