La misma tiene el objetivo de crear capacidades en el personal de las alcaldías para que incorporen la perspectiva de inclusión de las personas con discapacidad dentro de la planificación y gestión municipal, procurando la articulación de políticas locales que promuevan los derechos de esta población, contenido en la ley No, 5-13 y otros instrumentos legales y creando reales oportunidades de participación de las personas con discapacidad en sus comunidades.
El taller contó con la participación de todos los encargados de departamentos y supervisores, la señora Virtudes Acosta presidente del Consejo de Juntas de Vecinos, Lic. Alfonso Polanco en representación del ASODIFIMO. La receptividad de los participantes fue excelente y manifestaron su interés y compromiso para continuar trabajando con la creación de oportunidades de desarrollo para las personas con discapacidad y sus familias que viven en el municipio de nombre del municipio. Durante el taller, impartido por un equipo de PROBIEN dirigido por el señor Federico Corporán, se llevaron a cabo prácticas donde los participantes asumieron los roles de algunas discapacidades para así hacerles vivir la experiencia y crear una conciencia empática con ellos con estas personas.
